Two police officers who were inquiring about a residential lot inside a subdivision in Tagaytay City, Cavite were among three persons killed in a shooting incident over the weekend, the Philippine National Police said on Monday.In a statement, the PNP identified the victims as Police Captain Adrian Binalay from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group - National Capital Region and Police Captain Tomas Ganio Batarao Jr. from the Regional Personnel Holding Accounting Section.

Both the officers and the suspect sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the encounter,” the PNP said.Binalay was pronounced dead on the spot. Batarao and the suspect were brought to the nearest hospital but both were declared dead on arrival.
