Much of today’s activity has moved off by evening, but more rain is likely before Tuesday ends. It will probably be back up near 90, too.
Today was about as nice as a gloomy and rainy Monday gets. We are still in major need of the water, given a drought that has been expanding across the region. More is needed, but a break in the relentless heat helps as well. Highs briefly reached the 80s before falling off into the muggy 70s this afternoon with the rain. It won’t change much through the night. Another 90 is a good bet tomorrow.
Showers continue into the evening, but they’re less numerous and frequent than before. Anything that falls could be locally heavy for a brief time. The trend should be for less rain into the night. There could be some late-night fog, as temperatures settle near 70 to the mid-70s for lows.Partial sunshine is back. Although the day might not be rain-free, it should stay dry during most of the daytime hours. Odds of showers and storms rise toward evening and last into the night.
