The last bit of showers are associated with a cold front that will kick up winds and ensure a generally cool weekend.
Clouds were thick and didn’t let much in the way of the sun’s warmth through today. Add in some afternoon sprinkles and it was certainly feeling way different than the near-80 of Thursday. Highs in the mid-50s to around 60 missed the forecast mark and are about 10 degrees below normal. Our run of mostly cooler-than-typical conditions is just getting started.
Light showers of earlier move east, leaving us largely dry but mainly cloudy through the evening. Upper 40s to mid-50s should do it for lows, cooler suburbs to downtown. There could be some showers, especially in the pre-dawn through the sunrise time frame.Clouds and a couple of showers could linger for a few hours after sunrise. Otherwise, turning sunnier and highs range from the mid-60s to around 70. Winds probably blow around 10 to 15 mph from the northwest, with gusts up to around 30 mph.
