The fast-growing private company expanded its headquarters to 225,000 square feet at Port San Antonio after capitalizing on the increasing need for robots through the coronavirus pandemic. It’s also added offices in Boulder, Colo.; Pittsburgh, Penn.; and the Netherlands. Plus One said that 10 roles were eliminated, of which seven were in San Antonio. One person was reassigned within the company. Historically, businesses have used robots and automation in the forms of conveyor belts and scanners. But AI-driven robots have drastically improved amid increasing demand driven by a combination of the pandemic era e-commerce boom, labor shortages and supply chain issues.
