PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications have fully restored telco services in several provinces hit by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng.
Restoration works are ongoing in more provincesSubscribers in Leyte, Samar, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Oriental Mindanao can now connect to their loved ones through texts, calls, or messaging apps, PLDT said. The telco also reiterated its network in North Luzon"stayed resilient" despite Paeng's wrath. Meanwhile, the restoration of services in Bulacan has been partially completed.PLDT and Smart are working double time to ensure our network can continue to be of service in times of disasters, all thanks to our operations and network teams. Aside from this, we will begin distributing relief aid to severely affected areas, made possible by our volunteers.
Affected families in Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Quezon, Marinduque, Capiz, Antique, Aklan, Maguindanao del Norte, and Zamboanga City can expect relief assistance from PLDT.
