The first 50 people in line will receive free bowls and t-shirts.
The chain, known for its refreshing acai bowls, is opening on May 11 at the Park Village Plaza off Hersheypark Drive in Derry Township.It’s the second Playa Bowls in Dauphin County. One opened last year at 2650 Gravel Road at the Susquehanna Union Green development in Susquehanna Township.
Guests can order from Playa Bowls’ menu or customize their bowls with ingredients such as pure acai, pitaya, chia pudding, coconut, kale, banana, oatmeal and more. Toppings feature fresh-cut fruits, seeds, nuts, granola, dried berries and nut butters. Bowls can be made vegan or gluten-free and also designed to fit Whole30, Keto, and Paleo diets. Playa Bowls also sells juices, smoothies, cold brew and other select drinks.
“At Playa Bowls Hershey, it’s not just about food – it’s about embracing positivity, good times, and bringing people together,” said Chad Stine, co-owner of the Playa Bowls in Derry Township. “We are thrilled to build a bright and inviting space for Hershey residents and visitors to gather, while providing healthier options to the Hershey area.”
Playa Bowls was founded by avid surfers, Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, who noticed in their travels that exotic surf towns all had their own acai or pitaya bowls. They opened the first shop in New Jersey in 2014.
