The acting Governor of East Java, Adhy Karyono, has issued a circular urging the local government to support the operation of Dhoho Airport. The circular also includes other points related to the revitalization of the airport.

Penjabat Gubernur Jatim Adhy Karyono melalui surat edaran yang diterbitkan Jumat lalu mengimbauSelain itu, daerah di eks Karesidenan Kediri dan Madiun juga turut dilibatkan, yaitu Kota dan Kabupaten Kediri, Kota dan Kabupaten Blitar, Kabupaten Tulungagung, Kabupaten Nganjuk, dan Kabupaten Trenggalek. Kemudian, Kota dan Kabupaten Madiun, Kabupaten Magetan, Kabupaten Ponorogo, dan Kabupaten Pacitan.
Ia mengakui bahwa menghidupkan Bandara Dhoho memang pekerjaan yang tidak mudah, namun jika seluruh pihak bekerja sama, ia yakin bandara ini akan terus berkembang.Sementara itu, Kepala Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kediri Adi Suwignyo menilai peningkatan pariwisata di Kediri bisa turut mengembangkan Bandara Dhoho.
Namun, ia juga berharap daerah lain di wilayah selatan Jatim turut mengembangkan pariwisatanya juga jika ingin lebih menghidupkan Bandara Dhoho."Daerah di Selingkar Wilis harus kompak agar Bandara Kediri bisa jadi pintu masuk bagi banyak wisatawan. Tidak hanya wisatawan domestik, namun juga internasional,” paparnya.
