Shortly after the arrests of the two young men, a Pierce County deputy spotted a black Chevy SS attempting to escape the same warehouse and decided to pursue it. Deputies said Washington State Patrol's 'Smokey' airplane helped locate the Chevy.“Both occupants bailed from the vehicle in the 4900 block of 161st St E and hid behind a shed," wrote the PCSD. "Smokey was able to direct deputies to the suspects’ location, where they set up a perimeter.
