In an advisory issued Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said a relatively “weak but continuous” volcanic tremor has been recorded by at least fifteen seismic stations of the Taal Volcano Network since 6:52 a.m. on Friday.
Apart from these developments, Phivolcs said they have also observed an uptick in the volcano’s sulfur dioxide emission in the past two weeks averaging at least 5,360 tonnes per day.
