Mayon VolcanoThe Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said in an advisory that four dome-collapse PDCs have been recorded since 6:09 pm on Friday.
There was also a 4-minute-long PDC on the Basud Gully at 1:01 pm on Friday, “observation of which was hampered by cloud cover,” added Phivolcs. Phivolcs said the PDCs triggered ashfall, as seen on one of its cameras and as reported by residents of Tabaco City. On Friday, SO2 emission averaged 1,002 tons per day, which is “still below the typical ranges of eruption gas flux from Mayon.”
