PHIVOLCS noted on its latest bulletin that Mayon Volcano had 258 volcanic earthquakes, including 57 ashing events which had 30 seconds to 1 minute and 17 seconds duration. A slow effusion of lava flow from Mayon Volcano’s crater also continued, reaching 3.4 kilometers along Bonga Gully, 2.8 kilometers along Mi-isi Gully, and 600 meters along Basud Gully.On Monday, PHIVOLCS reported that theMayon Volcano, which remained under Alert Level 3 due to its intensified unrest or magmatic unrest, also generated 2,325 tonnes of sulfur dioxide flux on Monday, July 31.
