Aaron Nola won Game 3 a year ago, and he’ll get another shot this year. In three appearances during the 2023 regular season, Nola fashioned a 3.50 ERA and 20 out 20 Braves. He also yielded three home runs. He was almost unhittable in the Wild Card series, pitching seven scoreless innings against the Miami Marlins, allowing only three hits and striking out three.
“I feel good about this, the decision that we made,” Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said. “There’s a guy that laid it on the line for you for however many starts all year, fought through some adversities, as they all do. So I’m happy that he’s having this opportunity.”
