The Philippines recorded an additional 1,442 COVID-19 cases on Friday, increasing the nationwide tally to 4,145,792.

Latest Department of Health tally showed the number of active infections decreased to 14,888 from Thursday’s 15,418.

Metro Manila reported the highest number of COVID-19 increases in the last 14 days with 6,941. It was followed by Calabarzon with 4,672; Central Luzon with 2,393; Western Visayas with 1,583; and Cagayan Valley with 878.
