THE country will have fair weather although Metro Manila may have isolated rain because of the southwest monsoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday.
'So far we are not expecting any weather disturbance that may occur in the coming days but Pagasa is monitoring the cloud formations outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility that may develop into a low pressure area,' weather specialist Grace Castaneda said.
The weather agency said the southwest monsoon is affecting the western section of the country particularly Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro and northern Palawan including Calamian and Kalayaan Islands. The localized thunderstorms and southwest monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated downpour and thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, Pagasa said.
