MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health registered 832 new COVID-19 infections from Feb. 20 to 26, which is lower than the previous week’s 895 new cases.

Based on the DOH’s latest weekly COVID-19 bulletin, these infections translated to a daily average of 119 cases, which is seven percent lower than the 128 daily average recorded from Feb. 13 to 19.None of the infections were tagged as critical or severe, bringing down active critical or severe COVID-19 admissions to 370 from the previous week’s 406.

Meanwhile, 78 deaths were added to the country’s COVID-19 death toll during this week, which is currently at 66,108 as of Feb. 27, based on the DOH’s online COVID-19 tracker.
