Mets first baseman Pete Alonso answered two burning questions at the top of the list for fans of the franchise.
“I feel great,” Alonso said in a video posted by The 7 Line’s Twitter account. “I know it looks bad with the splint, but I’m feeling excellent so I’m gonna get back out there as soon as possible. That’s the number one goal. I want to be out there ASAP.”
The first baseman’s 22 home runs and 49 RBIs lead the National League in each category this season.
