'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri tease 'more mature' season 2: 'It's definitely hyped up some.'
"It feels comfortable, but different," Walker Scobell tells EW of the next installment in the Disney+ fantasy series.Christian Holub is a writer covering comics and other geeky pop culture. He's still mad about 'Firefly' getting canceled.
But since Scobell plays the son of the Greek sea god Poseidon, he's already gotten a lot of experience filming in water and underwater in season 1. "The underwater scenes were super fun for me to film," Scobell tells EW. "I would come up only every 20 minutes because I was on oxygen tanks. It was so awesome...At the end, I could barely move my hands. Thank God they made the water warm for me."Season 2 will definitely bring more monsters into the mix — but if there's one thing Percy learned in season 1, it's that not all monsters are bad.
The Hall H panel revealed that actor Daniel Diemer has been cast as Tyson, and he even filmed a little video saying hello to the Comic-Con crowd. The young stars were so excited to finally be able to talk about their new costar. "We've been working with him so much during prep. You guys are gonna love him," Scobell said at the panel. "He's also like 6'5"...so maybe just a couple inches taller than me."Blade
