The starting defensive end left after starting QB Drew Allar also sustained an apparent injury.

Joe Hermitt | [email protected] State defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton, after exiting the first have with an apparent injury, appears done for the day. He tried to play in the second half but exited again after just one snap.
The starting edge rusher, one of Penn State’s most disruptive players, was trying to stretch out his right leg/groin after a 28-yard completion between Wisconsin’s Braedyn Locke and Will Pauling. It’s unclear when Dennis-Sutton sustained the injury, as he stayed on his feet through the play but came up slow after the whistle.
He stayed on the ground with trainers for a bit before moving very gingerly to the sideline. Dennis-Sutton remained out for the rest of a Badgers scoring drive, which gave Wisconsin a 10-7 halftime lead. Dennis-Sutton came out of the halftime locker room with a noticeable limp, favoring his right side. As the Penn State offense took the field, Dennis-Sutton spoke with trainers and defensive line coach Deion Barnes. He worked on the stationary bike for a bit before entering the game.
After his one third-quarter snap, Dennis-Sutton sat down in a chair and took his helmet off. He tried once again to get on the bike but could hardly do so without grimacing. When Wisconsin came out for its second drive of the third quarter, Dennis-Sutton remained on the sideline without his helmet — a good indication he’s done for the day. NBC’s broadcast later reported Dennis-Sutton would be out for the remainder of the game.
