In hiring activist Nelson Peltz as an adviser, Aurora Cannabis gets financial credibility, consumer expertise and contacts at companies like P&G. The catch is that VIP patrons like him get terms mere mortals can’t touch. johnsfoley
Aurora Cannabis named Nelson Peltz as a strategic adviser, giving the activist investor who runs Trian Partners a seat on the board. Aurora is a Canadian producer of marijuana that is listed in both Toronto and New York.
Peltz receives the option to buy just under 20 million shares - equivalent to roughly a 2 percent stake – at C$10.34 per share. The options vest over four years, and that can be accelerated in certain situations, such as if Aurora shares trade at or above C$31.02.
