Marcos says he was not really thinking about what his legacy could be as he is preoccupied with work.

"Kapag wala na ako, sana maalala ako na siya'y talagang tumulong sa pangkaraniwan na taong Pilipino ," he said."Hindi natin masyadong iniisip 'yang legasiya na 'yan. Sa dami ng kailangan nating gawin, trabaho lang muna ," he said.President Marcos, whose family's legacy is an unfortunate one, said he was not working just so people could remember him after his term."Ginagawa natin lahat para makabuti at makatulong sa taumbayan.

In his EO, the President cited the need to maintain, preserve, and utilize the properties in recognition of their potential to promote the country's history and culture.
