According to the CA’s records Arroyo is nominated as ambassador to Austria, with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Croatia, Republic of Slovenia, and Slovak Republic with a salary and emoluments of a Chief of Mission, Class I. Marcos Jr. has also named veteran journalist Jaime FlorCruz, an anti-Marcos activist, as the Philippine’s ambassador to Beijing.
Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, in an interview with reporters on Monday, October 7, said the CA would not be able to tackle the nomination of Marcos’ Cabinet immediately as the Senate has to prioritize the passage of the proposed P5.268-trillion national budget for 2023.
