The Pasig City local government hosted a forum on gender equality, inclusion, and sensitivity for women as it commemorated the 19th Women with Disability Day on Monday, March 27, during Women’s Month. ManilaBulletin
The event was done in line with the National Council of Disability Affairs’ celebrations of the occasion, highlighting the importance of triumphs achieved and tribulations faced by women or non-gender conforming persons with disabilities.
A lecture on gender equality and inclusive society and gender sensitive training were conducted by Maria Lourdes T. Jarabe, PhD, and Edgardo L. Razon respectively. A sign language interpreter, Liz Vallesteros, was also present to make the lectures more inclusive to all audience members.
