A barangay in Pasig City has inoculated its senior citizens with anti-flu vaccines as part of its campaign against transmissible diseases and the Covid-19 pandemic.
In partnership with the Pasig City local government, Barangay San Antonio Chairman Raymond Lising said that 500 BSA senior citizens received their anti-flu vaccines on July 7.
“Based on what we’ve monitored in the news, the number of Covid-19 cases is continuously rising in the metropolis. Thus, we must act and ensure the health and safety of our vulnerable population,” he added. Aside from the vaccination, Lising said the barangay has also provided paracetamol tablets to the vaccinees so that they can take these should they experience any flu-like symptoms due to the vaccine’s side-effects.
