"There was some roof damage, that type of thing, but everybody was OK," Adams said."There's a lot of devastation between here and across the street. A lot of houses destroyed.""People have been working nonstop to clean things up," said Adams, who was an assistant principal at the school when Pasadena ISD trustees selected him to replace Jeremy Richardson, who moved to another position in the district.
Garza said a $6,500 tarp to protect the infield was found in three pieces. One piece was dangling over the backstop, another was on school grounds and the third was discovered in the residential neighborhood on the other side of Crenshaw. Despite the damage, Garza said he's going forward with a scheduled alumni game at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
