Pasadena-area resident Liz Rachelle will perform in “Paradise Blue,” a drama that runs Jan. 26 through Feb. 26 at The Ensemble Theatre in Houston.A Pasadena-area actress who didn’t find her soulmate on the TV reality/dating show “Ready to Love” portrays a mysterious woman out to cause"a little mischief" in a drama atLiz Rachelle's character, Silver, struts into a a neighborhood jazz club in Detroit, circa 1949, to shake up the life of the locals in “Paradise Blue,” which runs Jan.
“It was ‘Season 4-Houston,’ but it’s listed as Season 3 on the OWN network due to the first season being a pilot," Rachelle said of the show."We filmed in Houston for seven weeks in 2019.”It is the second in a trilogy of plays whose author, Dominque Morriseau, calls “The Detroit Project.” Rachelle describes Silver as “similar but different” to another of her previous roles, the title character in “Jezebel” at the Encore Theatre in Houston in 2009.
