MANILA, Philippines — Isolated rain showers or thunderstorms could be expected throughout the day over Metro Manila and others places in the country due to the easterlies that also bring humid-warm weather in some areas, the state-run weather agency said on Sunday.
Weather specialist Grace Castañeda of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said, however, that they have not yet monitored any low pressure area.Pagasa said that only one storm was expected to enter the archipelago in May and would be named 'Aghon.
'Meanwhile, another weather system, the shear line – where the hot and cold air converge – is affecting extreme Northern Luzon areas, specifically Batanes and Babuyan Islands where cloudy skies with scattered downpours and thunderstorms could prevail within 24 hours, the state weather bureau said. Generally, the Pagasa forecaster said, most areas in the country would continue to experience fair weather except for isolated showers or thunderstorms during late afternoon or at night.
