It was all smiles Saturday morning despite the wind and rain as people worked up a sweat for the annual Parma Run/ Walk for pierogi.
PARMA , Ohio - Sadie and Mike Shugrue ran the race for the first time.
The father-daughter duo were brought to the event by Mike’s fellow National Guardsmen, Daniel Fortney. “So I pictured him running and eating pierogis on the route, which is not what it was at all,” says Shugrue. “Oh, it is great and then you go over Perla’s Pierogi’s to and get our free half dozen. That’s a good deal,” says Christine Tielke.“It is a great reward at the end a super difficult exercise especially in the morning and it just hits well.”
