Parañaque Mayor Eric Olivarez issued a memorandum on March 24 alerting the residents on the alarming increase of dengue cases in the city. ManilaBulletin

Olivarez said the city has already reached the alert threshold following the death of a resident due to dengue in Barangay Moonwalk.

The mayor recalled the dengue outbreak that occurred in the city in 2019, wherein there were a total of 1,700 reported cases from Jan. 1 to Sept. 14. He cited some of the measures to prevent and control dengue cases including the implementation of the 4 o’ clock habit; the 4S+IS Kontra Dengue if there is an impending outbreak and the Aksyon Barangay Kontra Dengue .
