The Parañaque city government conducted, on Friday, July 21, a program to promote proper nutrition among residents especially children as part of the 49th year celebration of Nutrition Month.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said the activity, held at Sitio Fatima, Valley 6 covered court in Barangay San Isidro, aimed to help families have access to affordable nutritious food to prevent and reduce malnutrition rates in the city.
Olivarez said under the program, the city government in coordination with the Barangay Nutrition Committee will conduct monitoring and check-up activities for children every six months to determine their health status and improvement.
