Sinabi pa ni Bersamin, pinagbigyan ni Marcos ang hiling ni Mabilog para sa executive clemency ''in connection with his administrative case, thereby removing the penalties or disabilities resulting from such case.'' Sa kabila nito, nahaharap pa rin si Mabilog sa kasong graft sa Sandiganbayan na isinampa laban sa kaniya at kay Konsehal Plaridel Nava II, ng Office of the Ombudsman noong 2023. Kaugnay ito sa umano’y pakikialam nila sa pag-award ng isang kontrata ng gobyerno sa isang towing services firm na may interes sila.Matatandaan na nakalista sa drug list ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Mabilog noong 2016.
Sa hiwalay na pahayag, pinasalamatan ni Mabilog sa Marcos sa ibinigay sa kaniyang executive clemency, na itinuturing niyang "vindication" mula sa mga paratang laban sa kaniya.
