President Marcos has appointed two new Malacañang officials, including a former member of the Dangerous Drugs Board under the previous administration.

A former director of the Philippine National Police Academy, Cruz was appointed in 2020 as a member of the drugs board under then President Rodrigo Duterte. Created in 1998 through an executive order, PAOCC supervises the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force.
The commission is tasked to “enlist the assistance of civic and other similar associations and provide a forum for continuing consultation among concerned sectors with our society leading to the formulation of policies to be recommended to the President in the form of issuances and legislation.” Mr. Marcos also appointed Rogelio Peig II as undersecretary for Strategic Action and Response Office of the Office of the Executive Secretary.
