A potential low pressure area (LPA) was spotted east of Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Saturday, June 3. ManilaBulletin READ:
PAGASA Weather Specialist Benison Estareja, in a public weather forecast on Saturday, said this potential LPA may enter the Philippine boundary in the next few days.
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau said the southwest monsoon is still the dominant weather system affecting the western section of the country. WIth this development, monsoon rains are expected in Occidental Mindoro and the northern Palawan including Calamian Islands. The southwest monsoon will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains in Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Batangas, Cavite, the rest of MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, and the rest of the country.
