Blake Snell can add one more bullet point to his 2023 NL Cy Young resume: The NL pitcher of the month for September.
The 30-year-old left-hander earned his second monthly award of the season and the fourth of his career, leading the majors with an 0.58 ERA and a .123 opponent while going 3-0 across five starts.
Snell is aiming to add a second Cy Young to his resume after winning in the AL in 2018 with the Tampa Bay Rays. In addition to ERA, Snell also led the majors in hit rate , ERA-plus and somehow walks .
