The defendants are the Northern Lehigh School District, the superintendent, the elementary school principal and the teacher. The lawsuit was filed by attorneys Susan Ayres and Leonard Hill of Philadelphia. It’s unclear whether the parents pursued criminal charges against the teacher. Ayres and Hill didn’t respond to an email asking that question.
The five-count lawsuit seeks unspecified damages. It was assigned to U.S. District Judge Joseph F. Leeson Jr.
