The dog was found alive but injured 10 days later, and is still being hospitalized, according to police.

The Clinton County SPCA contacted Pine Creek Township Police on Tuesday after the dog, later identified as a pit bull named Luna, was found in the 1700 block of Pine Mountain Road, Wayne Township, according to police. Investigators says they that believe Luna had been tied to the tree but eventually freed herself from her leash.
