The fatal stabbing took place on the morning of Dec. 3, 2018, near the PennDOT building along the railroad track in Harrisburg.
Dylan Reeves, 24, said that had he not been high on cold medicine, he would not have killed Daniel Kelley, the man who had been found tangled in wires near the railroad tracks along the Capital Greenbelt in 2018.
Under examination by his own attorney, Reeves told the jury he started doing drugs at around the age of 12, using marijuana and alcohol before switching to cold medicine because it was readily available. Reeves said he does not recall stabbing Kelly, and that he lost control. Although he did not think he had anyone in his life he could call a friend, Reeves said he talked to Kelly more than anyone else.
