Police confiscated some P408,000 worth of alleged shabu from a drug group member in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Saturday afternoon, March 19.

Lt. Col. Alex Barredo, Quezon City Police District Talipapa Station 3 commander, identified the suspect as Alfred Jerome Sitchon, 24, alleged member of the Dimaano Drug Group, a resident of Barangay Balon Bato, Quezon City.

After receiving a tip from an informant, PS 3 personnel, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency , launched the entrapment operation against the suspect on East Service Road at Ilalim ng Tulay, Brgy. Unang Sigaw at around 12:30 p.m. Authorities seized 60 grams of shabu, the buy-bust money, and a cellphone used by the suspect in the transaction.

Sitchon will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
