A total of 547,029 individuals in 695 barangays were affected by Severe Tropical Storm Enteng and the Southwest Monsoon , according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council on Wednesday.Based on NDRRMC's latest situational report, most of the affected residents or 288,110 of them were from Central Luzon. This was followed by the Bicol region with 181,506 and the National Capital Region with 74,030.
Thirty-nine roads and 16 bridges also remained impassable due to the effects of the storm.There were 589 houses which were ruined due to the heavy rain and flooding—of which 538 were partially damaged, and 51 were totally damaged.Damage to infrastructure in the Bicol region stood at P200,000.Interruptions in electricity, water, and communications services were also reported in some regions.A total of 19 domestic flights and four seaport trips were also canceled.
