The residents took shelter at the Sto. Domingo Central School, which received 20 classrooms from the GMA Kapuso Foundation back in 2007. "Kinabahan po ako bigla kasi marami na pong pagsabog ang naranasan ko simula nong high school po ako," said Maryjane Lara, one of the evacuees. At present, 14 classrooms are being used by families affected by Mayon's increasing activity.
