California Highway Patrol reportedly responded to Spears's car going southbound on the U.S. 101 highway. Her white Mercedes blocked the third lane near Balboa Boulevard at about 10 p.m., but by the time officers arrived, Spears was in the backseat of another vehicle that stopped to help.
The car ran out of gas and halted in the middle of the highway and was subsequently pushed to safety.Spears was uninjured and left the scene after her husband, Sam Asghari, picked her up, according to police.
