Saskatoon Blades won their fifth straight win with a 3-2 overtime shootout victory over the host Prince Albert Raiders in P.A.
The Blades edged the hometown Prince Albert Raiders 3-2 with an overtime shootout victory Sunday night before 2,173 fans at the Art Hauser Centre.
With the win, Saskatoon improved its Western Hockey League record to 7-2 this season. Prince Albert slipped to 6-4-0. Austin Elliott made 20 saves in regulation and overtime combined, adding another four stops in the shootout for the win.Newly acquired Easton Armstrong notched the game-winner in the fifth round of the shootout for Saskatoon.Brandon Lisowsky, Egor Sidorov and Jordan Keller were all stopped by Prince Albert goalie Chase Coward.The Blades continue to click on the power play, going 2-for-3 with the man-advantage. The Raiders were 0-for-1.
