Oshi no Ko is an animated supernatural mystery series that follows a gynecologist named Gorou, a big fan of an idol whom he is caring for as she prepares to deliver her children. After an obsessive fan of the idols murders Gorou, he is reincarnated as her newborn son - but along with him, a terminal patient he knew is reborn as his twin sister.
Years later, after yet another seemingly related murder, Gorou decides to enter the idol world and find the culprit.Despite Ai Hoshino's limited appearance in Oshi no Ko, she is a popular character and fans will learn more about her past in an upcoming prequel.Oshi no Ko's title has never been officially translated into English, which makes sense as no localized title could capture all of its nuances.
Oshi no Ko has been hinting at the dark truth about Ruby's original mother from her life as Sarina, and the manga confirmed it in the most tragic way.Oshi no Ko's stellar anime is brilliantly elevating its source material by incorporating scenes that the manga could never do by its very nature.Aqua and Ruby keeping their past lives secret from each other is a key part of Oshi no Ko's story, but the manga puts an end to that.
