A man in Oregon nearly met his maker Thursday after a runaway concrete saw struck the door of a local mini mart, seconds after he walked through it.
Shane Reimche walked into the Quick Trip Market in Eugene, Oregon Thursday afternoon and was nearly followed in by a large saw blade which had spun out from a neighboring construction site. “I put my hand on the door, and I heard a loud bang and yelling here at the corner," Reimche told a local news station. "Just as a cloud of smoke pops us and I see a guy fall in the ditch, and a four-foot blade hurling at me.”
The video shows that the blade began its journey while Reimche was walking through the door and made impact only a second or two after it closed behind him. "All of a sudden, we heard a loud bang, and my mom was like, 'Someone ran a car into our store'," Quick Trip MarketHe also told KVAL that the blade made it about halfway through the store's wall before stopping.
