” : Parking at Balboa Park has been a main complaint for years.
When the city recently decided to paint away 300 parking spots on Park Boulevard, it meant several hundred folks daily have a more difficult time enjoying/supporting Balboa Park events, restaurants, museums, groups and educational activities. Our recent experience: Because of parking hardships, both our club volunteers with scheduled later shifts and guests are already choosing not to come.Elderly speakers are struggling to be on time. With participants from all over the county, one who was recently looking for parking for more than 45 minutes gave up and went home.
Pay Uber, ask your neighbor for a ride, both ways, or drive from lot to lot idling in between, what a detriment to the Climate Action Plan. Why not a solid city Plan B with replacement parking before painting the curb red?
