The scourge of hidden fees has been a problem for Americans for a long time. The experience of finding unexpected “resort fees” inflating hotel bills or unexplained “convenience fees” padding ticket purchases and restaurant tabs is all too common.
Finally, politicians are grasping that they need to take on this abusive lack of transparency.
