After the country’s Air Traffic Management system conked out, along with its backup, on New Year’s Day, flight operations are returning to normal Tuesday, January 2, 2023, but airlines warned that it could take some time to fully restore normal schedules.

For its part, AirAsia Philippines is implementing additional flight adjustments through a recovery flight on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 for the 12 domestic flights it cancelled today.

Guests are advised to regularly check registered sms and email for preflight notifications on flight adjustments. The airline apologized for inconveniences caused by the unforseen disruption and is working closely with government and airport authorities until it fully resolves the situation.is still working on the recovery of its network as well as normalizing its operations.
