The first trailer for Netflix's live-action One Piece adaptation shows the Straw Hat Pirates embarking on an epic adventure full of sea battles.
Netflix has released the first trailer for their live-action adaption of One Piece, teasing key moments from the start of Monkey D. Luffy's journey to become King of the Pirates. One Piece is a manga series created by Eiichiro Oda, featuring over 1,000 chapters of Luffy's journey alongside his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates. Having been made into a successful anime adaptation, Oda has now partnered with Netflix to adapt the series into a live-action TV show.
The trailer focuses on Luffy's goal to be a great pirate while also giving viewers a look at crew members Zoro , Nami , Usopp , and Sanji . Included in the trailer are also glimpses of Alvida's ship and Buggy the Clown , implying One Piece season 1 will be focused on the anime's first arc, the East Blue Saga. The end of the trailer confirms a release date of August 31, 2023.
