The compact Tesla Model 3 is not only the most popular electric vehicle in the industry, over the first six months of 2019 the automaker delivered more of them to customers than all the other EVs sold in the U.S. put together. According to data compiled by the website , 67,650 Model 3s were sold from January through June. That’s considerably higher than the 24,367 units that were delivered during the same period in 2018. An impressive 21,225 Model 3s were sold in June alone.
Sales of Tesla's Model S and Model X, on the other hand were down a bit over the first six months of the year, compared to the same period in 2018. With sport-utility vehicle sales surging, the Tesla Model X now outsells its showroom sibling.
