The Grammy winner opened up her world tour in Palm Springs on Friday night with her many odes to girlhood.
Olivia Rodrigo held nothing back on night one of her worldwide GUTS tour — including encouraging her audience to scream with everything they've got. The Disney-actor-turned-pop-superstar kicked off night one of her world tour in Palm Springs on Friday, February 23 at Acrisure Arena. Rodrigo is a Southern California native, which makes night one in Palm Springs all the more special.
“Okay here's the deal. When the lights go off, I want everyone in here to think about something or someone that really pisses you off,” Rodrigo said. “And I want you to scream your heart out. Are you ready?” She then repeats the lyrics, “I scream inside to deal with it,” before the lights are cut and the audience begins screaming loudly. The lights come back up eventually and Rodrigo is proudly dancing and jumping around to the guitar riff.
