Ohio State football released a list of which players are out or questionable for Saturday's game against Penn State.
Ohio State’s status report does not differentiate between illness, injury, suspension or other reasons for absence. Starting this season, Big Ten teams were required to post such a report no later than two hours before kickoff.
Burke was injured in the third quarter of last Saturday’s 41-7 victory at Purdue. Fellow defensive back Jordan Hancock appeared to make contact with his lower leg at the end of a group tackle. Burke went to the medical tent, then the locker room, and did not return to the sideline. Nor was he seen Wednesday with other players coming off the practice field.Burke’s seven pass breakups this season are more than any two other Buckeyes combined.
Henderson was listed as questionable the past two weeks and went through initial pregame stretching but never put pads on. Ohio State has not released any details on the nature or extent of his injury, but the change in status indicates some sort of setback.
